Reason why Hagukumi is similar to breast milk
Amount and balance of nutrients close to that of breast milk
-
DHA and arachidonic acid
The ingredients in breast milk promote the baby’s growth and development.
-
Lactoferrin protects the baby’s health
The ingredients in colostrum protect babies from diseases.
-
Three types of oligosaccharides increase the amount of Lactobacillus bifidus
Three types of oligosaccharides maintain intestinal flora, keep the baby healthy, and help produce stools close to those from breast milk.
-
Highly digestible and absorptive peptides
Highly digestible proteins smoothly absorbed by your baby.
DHA and arachidonic acid support the baby’s growth
An ingredient contained in breast milk. It is important to take this ingredient together with DHA.
Morinaga Milk's "Hagukumi" and Peptide Infant Formula "E-AKACHAN" blend DHA and arachidonic acid at a ratio similar to Japanese breast milk, and thus are closer to breast milk.
Lactoferrin protects the baby
Colostrum protects the baby from various diseases.
Lactoferrin is the most abundant protein found in colostrum.
Lactoferrin was discovered in 1939 as a protein contained in the milk of most mammals including humans. It is contained in breast milk especially rich in colostrum, which is produced for 4 to 5 days after childbirth. Lactoferrin accounts for about 25% of the total protein in colostrum.
The name lactoferrin originates from "lacto," which means milk, and “ferrin,” which means iron-binding protein. Lactoferrin helps with iron absorption in the intestines, when necessary.
Lactoferrin is considered an essential ingredient to maintain the baby’s health and growth. Recognizing the importance of lactoferrin through infant formula studies, we continue to research it.
Blended lactoferrin in infant formulas for the first time in the world

Eco-Raku Pack changes child-rearing!
Voices from moms led to the development of "ecological", "easy-to-use", and "compact" infant formula products.
Refill-type ecological infant formula
A repeatedly usable special case eliminates the need for cans. Refill-type formulas are packed in an aluminum foil bag, reducing CO2 in manufacturing by about 60% compared to cans. Empty bags can simply be thrown in the trash bin.
Infant formula easier to use
The special case makes it easier to scoop out the powder without having to put your hand deep into a can, even when there is only a small amount remaining.
Compact special case and refill packs
The easy-to-carry compact case and downsized refill packs can be stored in a small space compared with cans.
A stick-type is convenient in such cases...
Anyone can easily prepare the milk without measuring
