Our development of a manufacturing method for the decomposed product from protein in cow's milk, or peptide, was evaluated as an innovative R&D achievement in allergic studies, leading to the Science and Technology Award from the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
The 97th Meeting of the Japan Pediatric Society
Doctors at 13 universities and 20 facilities evaluated "E-AKACHAN", and found it to be a useful product from the viewpoint of nutrition science, and in restricting the production of antibodies causing an allergy to milk. Our research results were presented at the 97th Meeting of the Japan Pediatric Society.
Morinaga Milk Industry's "E-AKACHAN" won the 8th Mothers' Selection Grand Prize 2016. This award is given by NPO Japan Mothers Association (Headquarters: Minato City, Tokyo; Director: Tsubasa Ide), an NGO that supports childrearing and mothers, to "goods" loved by nursing mothers, or "events" supporting mothers. Ordinary mothers vote for products that are "convenient", "cheering", "healing", or "useful for child rearing", and the product with the most votes receives the award. We will continue with our R&D to develop infant formulas closer to breast milk.

Refill-type ecological infant formula
A repeatedly usable special case eliminates the need for cans. Refill-type formulas are packed in an aluminum foil bag, reducing CO2 in manufacturing by about 60% compared to cans. Empty bags can simply be thrown in the trash bin.
